Argostoli (Kefalonia), Greece Shops | Products

Recommended Purchases: The place to start shopping on Kefalonia is on the main shopping street of Argostoli known as Lithostroto. It's closed to vehicles and offers a wide variety of shops on a long stretch of cobbled street parallel to the port, between the cruise port and the Drapano Bridge. The prices here are likely to be the same as in the outlying towns and villages, since the local retailers tend to have branches in each. Stores are generally open by 9am and don't close until late, 7 days a week. However, most stores close between 2 and 5 pm, so if your ship is leaving in the early evening, you may need to shop early. Popular local products are thyme honey, Robola white wine and gold and silver jewelry.
