Willemstad's Historic DistrictCuracao is one of the Dutch-settled ABC islands, just off the north coast of South America (Venezuela). Curacao is 40 miles off the coast of Venezuala and is part of the Netherlands Antilles island chain commonly known as the ABC islands.  It is the largest and most populous of these islands, with over 140,000 residents.
