Gozo is the smaller of the two major island in the Maltese archipelago, but offers a great deal to interest the visitor. The ruins of the Ggantija Temple are the second oldest free-standing man-made structures found anywhere and offer a rare glimpse into the prehistoric past where local inhabitants moved massive stones to create what appear to be places for religious worship. The towns of Gozo are filled with historic churches and palaces built primarily since the Knights of St. John arrived. On the north coast of the island are several lovely red-sand beaches. The cathedral in the capital of Victoria has stunning interior paintings. The city also features a lovely park. The small island of Comino which is mostly a nature reserve is accessible from tby ferry.

How Far?

Malta has two kinds of taxis.  White taxis wait at taxi stands and can take fares from the side of the street.  Black taxis take pre-arranged fares.  White taxis are generally more expensive and often will not charge what the meter says though they are supposed to, so it is always best to negotiate before you get in.  Taxi companies (both white and black) can provide guides if you want.  The ferry between Malta to Gozo is less than 5 Euros in each direction..
